Commercial explosives are various chemical products which can be used as row material  for mining, construction or specific and commercial industry purposes.

To guarantee the secure process in manufacturing the explosive, The Ministry of Defense of Indonesia stated this issue in The Decree of Ministry of Defense Number PER/22/M/XII/2006 dated December 19^th, 2006 concerning The Manual Controlling, Maintaining and Improving the Commercial Explosive Company.

By establishing the Decree of Ministry of Defense, it is clarified that a series regulation must be fulfilled for controlling the explosive. PT DAHANA (Persero) is a trusted state own enterprise for this function and already has the permits to manage the commercial explosive as its rules.

DAHANA’s competence in this field is proven by the time. Since established in 1966, DAHANA has been operated in explosives field with reliable human resource and elaborate facility.
