Director General of Defense Potential Inaugurated OSP Dahana in Karimun

There is a happy news for  the granite quarry mining in Karimun area and its surrounding. Dahana inaugurated On Site Plant (OSP) for the type of emulsion explosive labelled Dahana Bulk Emulsion (DABEX).

Previously, Dahana also inaugurated several OSPs as a form of the Dahana’s first-class service to consumers, such as in Batulicin, South Kalimantan, and Melak, East Kalimantan.

This OSP inauguration held on 23 September 2011 in Karimun Site Project located in the concession area of PT Bukit Alam Persada. In this occassion Director General of Defense Potential (POTHAN) Pos M. Hutabarat inaugurated a Dahana’s new OSP, and the inauguration attended by the invitees from the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Defense, Provincial Government of RIAU Island, Regency Government of Karimun, and mining businessmen in Karimun.

The presence of Dahana in Karimun Island is not separable from the rapid developing granite quarry market in Karimun Island. PT Dahana made investment by building “On Site Bulk Emulsion” plant in 1998, which is the engineering product of Dahana itself, which located within PT Karimun Granite area. On Site Bulk Emulsion or known as On Site Plant (OSP) produces Emulsion Matrix. The production of Emulsion Matrix by the previous OSP amounts to ± 9.000 kg each day that supplies for 6 (six) consumers of PT Dahana in Karimun.

While the new officially inaugurated On Site Plant located in PT Bukit Alam Persada Zone, where being in this new location will reach consumers of PT Dahana faster in Karimun. This OSP uses new system to produce Emulsion Matrix namely air jet system in which the previous system is batch system. This Air Jet System is the creation of Dahana itself which can produce ± 20,000 kg each day.

In this OSP, there are available production supporting facilities of the office in form of container office, workshop, generator set, supporting material storage, Mobile Mixing Unit vehicles, transfer MMU vehicles and operating vehicles.
