Smooth Performance in Batulicin Site

PT Dahana got the opportunity to handle Batulicin project site, South Kalimantan. Under the control of Setio Budhianto, the work in the site ran in such an optimum way.

Batulicin is an area in South Kalimantan, which is located approximately 380 km eastward of the capital of South Kalimantan, Banjarmasin. Land route from Banjarmasin will be taken in about 5 hours. Along the route there lies the Java sea beach in the right side and Meratus Mountains in the left side.

Location of PT Dahana-Batulicin is precisely at Jl. Kodeco KM 51 Mantewe Village, Mantewe Sub-District, Batulicin District, South Kalimantan. The site is a coal mine owned by PT Arutmin Indonesia (an affiliate of Bakrie Group). Concession of PT Arutmin Indonesia is situated at 115’ -116’ East Longitude and 3’-4’ South Latitude. Its concession consists of ATA, Mangkalapi, Saring, Mereh (including Sungkai), Sarongga and Setangga.

PT Dahana has partnered with PT Cipta Kridatama, which is the Sole Contractor of PT Arutmin Indonesia as the mine owner since 2007. Its services are Total services in explosion works, comprising preparation such as: licensing related with Explosives (P1, P2, P3), Management of Explosive Warehouse, Explosive Logistics, and Explosives Making (emulsion and Anfo)

Besides that, explosive works cover: Explosive Works (Collection, DTH, assembling, explosion and ensuring the completion of explosion works), Evaluation against fragmentation of explosion results, Evaluation against explosion impacts (Ground Vibration and Air Blast) and Measuring of explosion impacts.

To support the work, the site has the office and supporting facilities, such as: On Site Plant with capacity 30 ton/shift, MMU (mobile Mix Unit) amounts to 3 units to serve: ATA with capacity 18 ton, Mangkalapi with capacity 14 ton and Sungkai with unit capacity 12 ton; Operating Light Vehicle of 9 units consist of 3 cars transporting explosives, 5 operation cars and 1 employee bus; VSAT for communication facility; permit facility for “Sleep Blast” or delayed explosion.

The offered product in this site is Dahana Bulk Emulsion (DABEX), a premium explosive type. Its excellences are producing better produced fragmentation result with larger volume of destroyed rocks; its sleep blast capacity is up to 3 days with much better fragmentation quality; geometrical pattern development (burden and Spacing) of approximately 30% and the depth of explosion hole which is to date stacked at 9 meters can be increased into the depth of 15 meters. According to Batulicin chief project site of PT Dahana, Setio Budhianto, though there is the obstacle in the field, they are happy with the positive response from consumers. PT. Cipta Kridatama in each 3 (three) months or a Quarter always performs performance evaluation against vendors in charge in which in the third quarter that the work results of PT Dahana-Batulicin in the operation of ATA, MKPI and SGK is declared good.
