Prioritizing Service and Completeness

In 2009, PT Dahana targeted its earning of 700 billion Rupiah from the local explosive material sales. In the future, Its goal is to be the leading integrated Energetic Material company.

As mentioned by Mr. F. Harry Sampurno, Director of Finance and  Business Development, Dahana has a vision to be the integrated  service provider of Energetic Material and become the host of the Energetic material in its own country, considering the domestic requirement of energetic materials is quiet high in each year.

“In 2009, the demand of ammonium nitrate reach the 350K tonnes per year and it is predicted to reach 450K tonnes per year  in 2012. But unfortunately, up until now Indonesia still imported Ammonium Nitrate although Indonesia has Ammonia as its raw material,” said Mr. Harry Sampurno.

As an effort to achieve its vision, PT Dahana built a 300 Ton/year Ammonium Nitrate plant, with investment value of US$ 400billion,  scheduled to be completed in 2012. This would be the biggest in South East Asia.

This year, PT Dahana allocated  its capital expenditure of 200 billion Rupiah which later will be allocated for regular investment and business development. This budget will be used to build 5 small plants or on site plant which one of them is placed in South Kalimantan, each of these plants has 15.000 T/year capacity.

With total 600  employees.  PT Dahana keeps improving its customer service quality, which is mainly from oil & gas and mining sectors. For this year, Mr. Harry Sampurno targets its revenue of more than 350 billion Rupiahs from those two sectors.

For the next 5 years, Mr. Harry Sampurno optimist  that the demand of explosive materials will significantly raise in respect of mining, oil & gas and construction industry fast growth. Therefore, the company constantly expands its line of business of drilling and blasting services, explosive manufacturing service and related services.

In the field of research, PT. Dahana own its engineering center, supported by  vast experience researchers and engineers and excellent laboratory facilities. At the moment, the engineering center has its abilities in Design and Engineering of energetic material formulas, Design and Engineering of ANFO Mixer and ANFO delivery truck, Design and Engineering of Emulsion Process System and Mobile Mixing Unit.

Awards and Achievement of PT. Dahana such as “Upakarti Award” from the President in 2006 and The Best State-owned Enterprise from INVESTOR Magazine in 2008 and 2009, and in 2009 was positioned as TOP 20 Best Company by BUSINESS REVIEW Magazine

As a state-owned enterprise, Mr. Harry Sampurno expects that PT. Dahana will have a strong role for the national economic and development and reduce  the dependency of import product in energetic materials sector.
