Dahana Prepare Ammonium Nitrate Offsite Facility Plant

Dahana again hold a ceremony related to the development of Ammonium Nitrate Plant project with the community of Bontang.

The event was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 started at 09.09 WITA or more widely known as the 09-09-09 and located on the grounds of Ammonium Nitrate Plant of PT Dahana (Persero) which is located in Kaltim Industrial Estate (KIE).

Attending the event were Director of Human Resources & Administration PT Dahana (Persero) Eriyana Epi Padmadisastra and his colleague from Jakarta. The invited guests who attended the event were from the Environment Agency (BLH) Bontang, led by Secretary Bontang BLH Wilson Sitorus, representatives from the Village, local army office, local police office and NGOs.

In his speech, Development Project Coordinator, Ammonium Nitrate Plant of PT Dahana (Persero), Agus Sukiman said that this event as an expression of gratitude for the continuing development of its plant development. “Development of this AN plant will be continued because of its strategic value,” said Agus Sukiman. “During the implementation of the development of the projects the design is changed so it takes time in the pre-construction” Agus continued.

On that occasion, Director of Human Resources & Administration Epi Eriyana Padmadisastra signed the Declaration of Bontang Lestari. This Declaration is aimed to improve the environmental quality in Bontang area and it will also be signed by the city government, the business community as well as the entire community.

In addition, PT Dahana (Persero) also provide grant support by giving a field test equipment to BLH Bontang which is conducted by the Director of Human Resources & Administration, Epi Eriyana P to the secretary of BLH Bontang, Mr. Wilson Sitorus. According to Epi Eriyana, giving this field test equipment is as Dahana’s commitment in maintaining the quality of the environment by giving support to BLH Bontang in implementing their function. “Help today is the first stage,” said Epi Eriyana.

Meanwhile, BLH Bontang which is represented by the Secretary BLH Bontang, Wilson Sitorus expressed his gratitude. Wilson also give positive response to the establishment of the factory as well as hoping a closer cooperation in environmental management. “It is expected that this become a training facilities for BLH HR to improve its capability in cooperating with the other industries in Bontang,” he explained.
